We heard from a man in his late 40’s who was about to be laid off. He had worked for the same company for 20+ years and the company needed to down-size. Unfortunately, he was one of the people who had to be let go. He had 30 days notice of his last day and he had some severance pay.
He put together his resume and applied to many jobs on indeed.com and other web sites.
In the meantime, he also decided to start a delivery business in his town. He spoke to friends and family to get connections of people / businesses that would need deliveries. He signed up for DeliveryMark.
His first client was a friend who was a real estate attorney. Other local businesses followed.
Now 6 months later he has a new full-time job AND his delivery business is growing.
Now that he has a job again, he has a local college student make deliveries for him during the day. After work, he makes deliveries. He’s hoping the delivery business keeps growing to the point where he can leave his full-time job and just work his delivery business.
We’re glad everything is working out for him.
