Entrepreneur Shares His Insight / Delivery Business Owner

We speak with many of our DeliveryMark clients. They deliver a wide variety of “items” (paperwork, freight, food, livestock, etc.) and they have unique stories of how they started and run their delivery businesses.

Recently we spoke with a DeliveryMark client who, 12 months ago, started a delivery business. It wasn’t his first business. He has many years of experience running businesses he’s owned, as well as working for other people.

He’s came across as energetic and enthusiastic. He expressed the pluses and minuses of being a business-owner versus working for someone else.

The one point that kept being expressed is - when you own your own business, everything is your responsibility… it is your business… you reap the rewards… AND No one can take it from you!

You don’t come in Monday morning and have a boss tell you you’re out of a job. You don’t find out the company has been sold and you’re out of a job. Etc…

It's hard work but it's rewarding. You may succeed or you may fail but no one can take it from you!

It sounded like his mantra. He said it at least 5 times! He had a good point.

... So he started a delivery business and it's been growing every month!

Gardening Center - Bird House Delivery Using DeliveryMark

A few months ago I had visited a local gardening and landscaping center. They made daily deliveries of soil, stone, garden decorations, and other items they sell to consumers.

I had given them my business card and had a quick conversation with them regarding the benefits of using DeliveryMark; assigning deliveries, tracking, collecting signatures, proof-of-delivery documents, and more. They seemed somewhat interested but wasn’t sure they would take the next steps.

A few weeks later we had noticed they had registered for DeliveryMark but had not started using it. We called the owner and arranged a quick online demo. Once we showed it to him, he “got it” immediately and said he was going to start using it, with two of his five drivers, this week.

It worked well for the first two drivers and now all five drivers use it on a daily basis.

We have email’d with them numerous times and all seems ok.

I just smiled but did not tell him we were with DeliveryMark.

We recently received an email from a Landscape Construction company that was interested in using DeliveryMark.
